Can you hurt your baby from coughing too much?

I have a silly question I guess. I have a bad upper respiratory infection and of course all I can take is mucinex. I’m 10w and my mom heard me coughing today and she told me I need to “stop” 😐 because I’m gonna hurt the baby. As if I could just STOP. I do cough so hard it makes me throw up sometimes and makes me pee a little 😐😐 can it hurt the baby? Ugh I’m a ftm

Im currently 24 weeks with twins and mom of 4.... every year i get a horrible cpugh and it makes me throw up and i go through 5 to 6 pads a day from peeing while coughing, and recently i tore my abdominal muscle from having such a strong cough which 3 doctors told me they never herd someone doing from a cough and had ultrasound done and my twins are fine. Coughing isnt gonna hurt the baby. Im sorry your not feeling well

I always have extra saliva when pregnant that causes bad drainage that makes me cough to the point of gagging throughout the whole pregnancy. Nobody has been hurt by it yet, except for my sanity. Coughing is a normal bodily function. Normal bodily functions are safe during a normal pregnancy. 🤷‍♀️

You should be okay. I developed bronchitis when I was 20 weeks pregnant. Other than a sore chest and constantly peeing myself, everything was fine haha

No, that won't hurt the baby. Lol. You should go to the doctor though and get some antibiotics.
