Yes my daughter been sleeping in hers like tht since she was 6mons she 8mons now and I prefer it tht way so I can keep a eye on her!

Double check the weight limit, but if baby is 8 months they wait her are it will be pulling up onto things soon which would make that dangerous. They can definitely sleep on the bottom mattress part though.

My baby sleeps in a playpen , but on the bottom and I put my comforter for cushion . But in getting a crib soon because  I get scared with the comforter  that he'll cover his face one day.  And he's 20 something lbs I think his body would be more comfortable  on a mattress in a crib

Dd1 slept in the pack n play till 1 and dd2 will too. I have it step up next to my side of the bed for night feedings. Dd2 started pulling herself up so we have to take out the upper part.

Theres a weight limit to the half shelf thing. I wouldn't get it. I have a pack n play and it is way too hard to get my son out of it at night because it's basically ground level and putting him in dead weight hurts my back. So we transitioned to a crib. Much easier.

Mine sleeps in this and has been since she was born. It’s safe until they can sit up on their own or pull themselves up. After that you have to take out the insert and lay them on the very bottom.
