How does everyone feel about car seats?

I want to go visit my parents who are an hour away. Do you guys think that's to much time in a car seat at once? My little guy is 5 weeks old.

I just did a two hour drive. I stopped once going there and she got really mad when I took her out , so coming back we didn’t stop and she did great . If I was going more than two hours I would def stop take her out change her diaper ect . She is 8 weeks

Rule of thumb is to stop every 2-3 hours to let baby out to stretch.

Noo. We did a 4 hr drive to this family party when my little one was 4 weeks old. He slept most of the time just woke up once to eat and to change his diaper. 
Ex — left around 6 am I just finished feeding him, went to sleep, woke up around 8:30 am, change his diaper, fed him again and went back to sleep until around 10 when we got there

My parents live an hour away & we visited them when baba was 4 weeks. Husband drove while I sat in the back next to our son... he slept the entire way ...

I couldn’t even imagine doing this. I cannot even go out to get a coffee down the road without my little guy screaming and getting himself so worked up that he starts dropping in sweat. 😩

You should stop every 1.5-2 hours to let baby stretch (and you should too!!)

We will be driving an hour and 15 min to my parents this weekend. My baby girl is 6 weeks old. She has always done well in the car seat but she’s never been in it more than 20 min. 🤞🏻🙏🏻
