Getting out the door is so stressful
I went to bed stressed from two days of having to leave the house and woke up just as stressed about having to leave the house today. Help!
Before leaving the house, I must feed breakfast to myself and the baby, shower/get ready myself and pump. The the baby takes her morning nap and I have to change her diaper, dress her, and feed her a bottle before we leave.
Depending on the plan I will need to feed myself lunch and possibly feed the baby solids.
Then we can finally leave.
Add to this if what we are trying to leave for is some type of appointment where we actually need to be on time, which it usually is.
Add to this that any time after she wakes up that is spent getting us ready to leave and any time driving to our destination counts against the time she's able to be awake without melting down, which is only about 2 hours.
Then, when we get home, by the time I feed her again, put her down for her afternoon nap, take the dog outside, get myself a late lunch if I haven't eaten yet and wash the bottles we have used while we were out, the day is mostly gone. And all my energy certainly is.
So just to meet someone for a one hour lunch requires a mad sprint from like 8am to meeting them at 12 and then wrap-up activities from like 130-230.
I want to be able to enjoy leaving the house! I mean, how the heck do people do this everyday, for those sahms who do like to leave everyday?
Today will be our 3rd day in a row leaving the house and I feel wound so tightly I could burst. And the mad dash hasn't even started. I have 3 more minutes. 😬
