Wyatt’s birth Part 3

We left home at 3:00AM and arrived at the hospital at 5:00AM and the hospital is 2 and a half

Hours away. We arrive at the hospital and I ask my boyfriend to get me a wheelchair because I can’t walk that far.. no way! We goes and gets me one and I get into it snd my mom gathers all her stuff she brought and we told her no.. to leave it in the car until we get a room and know for sure that I’m in labor. She doesn’t listen.. she decided that she needs to smoke a cigarette before she goes in the hospital. I’m not waiting for her! Soy boyfriend and I just go to labor and delivery and leave my drink mom outside and leave her to find her way..🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t have time for that. #sorrynotsorry. We get to labor and delivery and we’re in a triage room and they hook me up to a monitor to monitor my contractions and check me.. I’m at. 2 and a half CM. I was at a 2CM hours earlier... my contractions weren’t regular at all but they were back to back to back.. it didn’t make sense.. the nurse said she would come back in a hour to check me again and to try to go for a walk or bounce on a yoga ball.. so I tried to bounce on the yoga ball.. gave it about 3 bounces ... NOPE! Too painful! So I ended up leaning on the bed crying and saying OW OW OW!!! Over and over again.. my moms outside the door in the waiting area.. and someone let’s her in! It was only suppose to be me snd my boyfriend in the room cause it’s so small.. my mom sets all her stuff down and she gets in my face and she asks me how bad my pain is on a scale of 1-10 and don’t I just wanna pull her fucking hair out?! And I said to her WHAT?! Stop! And she asks if they gave me anything for pain and I told her no cause I’m not admitted yet snd I needed to be a 4 before they did so. My mom said ok brb and she leaves and I’m listening and I hear her cussing someone out in the hall! My boyfriends in the bathroom and I yell for him to go get my mom and get her in the room... but my boyfriends mom shows up and she asks if she can help and we asked her to please take my mom away from the hospital or to at least keep my mom in check and that I’m so upset with her for being wasted at this important time in my life.. and she takes my mom to go sober up with some food and a adventure to Walmart. So the nurse comes beck in and she checks me again and says I’m 4CM dilated and that I can go get my room now and to just walk down the hall and pick a room cause we were the only ones there.. so I pick the room we had our labor and delivery tour with.. it was at the very end of the hall and it was the biggest! I had to wait half a hour to get my epidural so I took my clothes off and sat in the bath tub and labored in there for half a hour.. and I got our half a hour later and I got my IV in and got my epidural in.. completely painless! They run the test dose of the medicine in my spine and they said to look out for my left leg being more numb and numb faster than anything else. My left leg went numb real quick and than I was numb from my boobs down... I couldn’t feel shit! They started to panic because that wasn’t suppose to happen and my blood pressure is already low and it dropped even lower and my baby’s heart rate spiked up to 180-190’s and he was getting stressed out.. I got a spinal headache and I started throwing up... they were panicking in the cart they brought with them trying to find a mixture of medicine to give me because I had gotten a tear in my back from the needle. And they apologized to me for that happening.. And they had said if they baby’s heart rate doesn’t go down that I need to get a C section.. so they tried giving me a dose of fentanyl in my epidural and put me on oxygen.. fentanyl was for my pain relief since I couldn’t use the medicine they normally use for epidurals because I had a bad reaction and I had a tear in my back.
