Sex and virginity

Hello ladies, I am here because I need some help. I’m 20y/o and I’m still a virgin. I think I am ready for sex and I am nervous. I am not trying to conceive at all and I know all the birth control methods. A condom is my best to-go method since I don’t take birth control, also which condoms are the best for good protection? . How efficient is the condom? Does it always work? I know that if anything were to happen like it ripping or slipping off, I can take plan b. If an accident were to happen, would I have to take plan b right away or wait a few hours or wait til the next day after I have sex? As y’all can see, I am new to this so please no judgment, my mom never taught me about sex so It’d be helpful if y’all give me some advice:).
