When To Pump While Breastfeeding?

Does anyone have any advice on when to pump when actively putting baby up to the breast? My son is only 1 week old today and I don't know when to pump because he eats about every hour and a half to two hours.

I do it immediately after feedings. Like, put baby down somewhere and go straight to pumping. Gives my body time to produce more milk before next feeding.

The recommendation is to not start pumping until week 6 when your supply has had the chance to regulate. Using a Haaka in the meantime is a great way to build a freezer stash.

I started pumping once a day when baby was three weeks to start my stash because I have to go back to work after 6 weeks. Now he is 5 weeks I am pumping at least twice a day. I try usually pumping in the morning and at night and now that I am starting to introduce a bottle I have to make up for that feeding. I try to give myself an hour before the next feeding when I pump. Personally, starting to pump was overwhelming and I felt baby was never satisfied after feedings thinking I didn’t have enough milk left for him; so I did stop for a couple days and started again and everything is good, your body will adjust to what you need:)
