Terrible twos or something else?

My almost 2 year old daughter has been having really bad temper tantrums to where she will scream at the top of her lungs and now she has started to self harm herself bad. When we put her in her crib she tries to climb out and freaks out. I need advice and help on what to do.

Are you putting her in her crib as punishment? If so, you need to find somewhere else as a time out spot. For my son it's a chair in the kitchen. My son 
Used to self harm as in hitting himself in the head. It's gotten better with age as he learns better ways to express himself. Tantrums are really normal, but it's a good idea to find what causes the tantrums so you can explain once she's calm why she had to go to timeout.
