A friend in need

Sa

My day started out like this...

My friend messaged me this morning asking me if I remembered a girl from high school, Megan. (Frankly it wouldn’t have mattered if I did or not though honestly) She tells me that she just recently had to get emergency custody of her nephew and that she’s been working so hard taking care of both her parents who are going through chemotherapy. She said Megan has been running herself ragged from the financial and physical toll it is taking on her. She was upset because she didn’t even have a tree for her little nephew to enjoy this Christmas season. Now I know I know, thanksgiving is just days away but hey it’s on her heart and mind with the little one, savvy? Lol.

She wanted to do something nice for Megan but didn’t know how. I’m a crafter and I always have odds and ends for stuff. So I told her not to worry about a thing. We just so happened to have a tree in the garage that we were storing for someone, who didn’t want it anymore. I had a ton of extra ornaments from making wreaths in the past few years. I had a big piece of red scrap fabric for a skirt too. Only thing was I hit a small snag when I plugged in the tree and part of it didn’t light up. I’m handy so I was able to fix that too. 😁

It’s missing a star/angel but I’m so excited to deliver it to her tonight!

So what do ya’ll think of my Charlie Brown tree?
