Do you monitor what your children watch on tv both by themselves as well as what they see you watch while they’re in the same room?

Do you think that seeing mature content such as swearing, drug/alcohol use, violence, etc. on tv or movies has an impact on children?

My husband and I were raised very differently with this, his dad let him watch things like chucky when he was 3. I was pretty guarded from all bad content until I was much older like maybe grade seven or so. We both agree now on no mature content for our kids in regards to anything alone and anything aside from some swearing when it’s on in the background until they are much older. I was just wondering how other people feel about this or what they do for their own kids.
