Need help with naps.

My baby is 2 months old now. After every feeding I have to hold him up for 20 minutes due to reflux issues, so he usually falls asleep on me. The moment I go to put him down in either his crib or bassinet, though, he wakes up crying. Is this a phase, or is there a way I can get him to calm down and be alone? I've tried waiting to see if he'll stop, but he just gets more upset and oftentimes will spit up from the frustration. This is even if I have music or white noise playing.

I'm not interested in co-sleeping at all.
