Convertible car seats!! Which one should I buy? The one I currently have is not secure AT ALL!!!

Question

So we have a safety first car seat, but it moves way to much. For side to side, we have to literally ram out rear seat back to secure the seat more, but it’s raised a bit off the bottom of the seat. The straps seem to tighten on their own? Idk. It’s just a no no! Anyone else experience this with safety first?
It honestly freaks me out. I want a new one TODAY. My husband didn’t believe me that car seats should be more secure than ours is. He just says he can’t see it being more secure because he can’t get our car seat to be secure. After I showed him 3 videos of car seats installed and where the don’t move...he finally believes me. 
My question is...
What car seats do you recommend? And why? I’m so nervous of the same thing happening again.

They’re suppose to move SLIGHTLY. About 1/2-1 inch so that it takes force out of impact. However, I would suggest Graco forever. Really any of the Graco car seats are among the highest rated for safety. I would also suggest contacting your local hospital or fire/police department to see if they have anyone trained in installing car seats. A lot of them will have someone who can check that it’s installed properly and will help you with it.

If the seatbelts straps are moving it isnt installed correctly, take it all out and do it over and bring it to a fire station (If you have that locally) to get it checked.
Otherwise the safest car seats out there are the peg perego, nuna, maxi cosi, and britax advocate.

We have a clek foonf in my car that is super easy to install and leaves a ton of leg room for the passenger. My boyfriend has the cosco scenera in his car and it's fine, but harder to install properly. It's great to fly with though, because it's so light. I just got an extend to fit for my moms car, but it hasn't come yet, so I have nothing to say about it yet. I have heard good things about britax seats being easy to install, but don't have personal experience, and I know the nuna rava is really easy.

We have a Graco Extend2Fit and I love it. It it very very secure. My husband and I both cannot move it more than probably half an inch to the side. And I love how much room my baby has
