How long is “over staying” your welcome?

When it comes to coming to a friends house around 8 PM. 
Thinking of nothing specific, just in general, if you go to your SOs friend and girlfriends house with your SO, how long do you think it’s appropriate to stay?

My friends who have kids wouldn’t stay passed 11. But also would show up maybe around 6, not 8. 
Before we had kids, we would close the bars down and people would
Still be over until all hours of the night.

Personally after 10:30 for me is pushing it. I have 2 little ones and I go to bed early. I wouldn’t stay out late or over someone’s house if it looked like they were tired or ready for bed. 
However, if you all are playing games and drinking maybe midnight but not more

I said Other because my group of friends all stay at each other’s houses late, crash on floors or couches or beds (if available) and basically treat each other like family. My door is always open to them no matter the time or day and vice versus.

Depends on the friends. Some of our friends work night shift like we do so when we get together we can hang out till 3am no mkm problem. Then other friends we shut the party down by 9 because they have day jobs or kids.

Honestly depends on their personal living situations. My friend up the road has her own place and I sometimes stay overnight if I’ve had a few drinks as she doesn’t want me walking home alone in the dark. 
My bestie has a teenager and a 2 year old so i never stay there past 10pm, even though she wouldn’t ever kick me out I know she needs her rest.

I have a 4 month old and if we had company at our house, I’d say after 8:30-9 is enough. I wouldn’t invite someone over if it was later than that, just because I’m exhausted after watching baby all day and he goes to sleep around that time. But if you don’t have children, I’d say 11 latest. Maybe it’ll be different when my son gets older.

I think it depends on the people and the situation. Some people I'd have round till early hours of the morning even if I had to be up early for work, others I'd only want to be over for an hour or two

Depends on age and kids. If its a weekend night with no kids, having a good time midnight isn't a big deal. 
If someone has work the next day 9, 9:39 is long enough.
If little ones are there and you aren't spending the night, I'd ask by 8-9, probably leave at ten the latest.
My friend has a six year old and is 14 years older than me (I'm 23 she's 37), my bf and I work and live together. You'd think she'd be the early bird, but I've had to end the night many times when it's 11 on a school night and girl is still chilling?! Because I'm tired. A lot of times she won't till her daughter has fallen asleep on my couch. Idk I don't get it. Love my friend, but my staying up til 3am days are way over. I love my sleep.

It depends on the friend/ family member. And how they are that day, somedays 11 or midnight is fine. Sometimes 8pm or like 3 hrs it really depends

Really depends. Currently my 11mo won’t go to sleep unless it’s dark and quiet (aka, nobody except me), so nobody stays past 9 or so. Usually, 10 or 11 is fine if we’re having movie night. I’m a night owl, so I expect once the sleep thing gets sorted out, we’ll be back to later nights
