Do you reuse sibling names?

If your daughter's middle is Ann or May; or son's middle is Lee or Ray, would you use the same middle for a sibling? Or find another name?

Depends may is an important name  for us as it's my grandmother's name and his mother's nickname. So I can see ourselves using variations of it on more than 1 name . Like maybelle and may.

My sister and I have the same middle name as our aunt that passed, never thought it was weird!

My husbands name is Christopher Andrew and his brother’s name is Andrew 😂 They must have really liked that name. My mil told me they weren’t expecting she could have another (she was 39 when hubby was born and 43 when bil was born) so they wanted to use the names they really loved instead of saving some for a sibling that might never come. It’s not a big deal its just something we laugh about sometimes

I personally wouldn’t as I find it unoriginal but I know a lot of people who share the same middle name with their siblings for traditional reasons.

Have their own names. My childrens names are themed to go together but I wouldn't use exactly the same name.

I personally wouldn’t just because there are a few different names I love. But it is pretty common at least in people I know. My brothers share a middle name with my dad and my nieces share their middle name (Jay after their dad Joshua). I see no problem with it though.
