How do I find out?

Olivia 💙💖💙

I’ve heard of PCOS but never really thought much of it. But the way my body has been over the last few years I’m beginning to wonder if I may have PCOS.

I was 16 almost 17 and had not started. I was prescribed something to make me start and it did but I was never regular.

I’m 26 now and just in the last year I’ve been regular for the most part. my periods last 6/7 days and are fairly heavy. It did take 6 years of unprotected sex for my now husband and I to conceive.

I do get random hairs on my chin I have to pluck a couple times a month. I’ve had acne for as long as I can remember. I’ve struggled with weight as well. If I stay disciplined I can lose weight fairly quickly but I gain it twice as fast. Mostly in my lower stomach. My entire family is diabetic as well.

With all that being said I really think it’s time to figure out what’s going on with my body.

Where do I start? I know I need to get an OBGYN. Will they do tests to see what is going on? Will they fight me on it and claim it’s nothing? ( my experience with all doctors my entire life) I’m just overwhelmed.
