Group b strep test is positive😪

So I just found out I tested positive for group b strep and I’m honestly devastated. I know it’s “common” or “normal” but I’m scared. Should my boyfriend get tested for it too??? I feel so gross. Is this curable? My doctor didn’t even call to tell me my results.... he just sent a message through his website. Please give me some advice. Google is making me worry more.

But when they did the exam, they swabbed the outside of my rectum but there was some brown on it (hard to wipe this far along and didn’t even know I had some left over since I had JUST showered) but can that throw off the test??? Should I ask for a retake??
