How popular is the name Charlotte actually based on people YOU know?

Ok so I know it’s like super high up on baby name lists, but I also have met exactly 2 people with this name in my life (and I barely knew either of them).
Do y’all actually know a lot of people named Charlotte or is it not as popular as it seems?

You can’t use people you know (the majority of whom are adults) to gauge baby name popularity. Unless you know hundreds of babies and toddlers, you aren’t getting an accurate representation of popularity. That’s why statistics are so helpful.
When your child is older, whether her name feels popular to her or not will be based on its frequency in her peer group, not our peer group.

The results on this poll are 100% wrong. Charlotte is a VERY popular name in the US and the UK, and most likely in Canada, as well. 
Do not listen to these results and check out how popular it is on the US Social Security Baby Name website. If you live in the states, you can even look how popular it is in the state you live in... it’s most likely very popular in every state.

I named my daughter Charlotte, she is 6 months old now. I have taught a girl with the name who is now 6/7 years old, and I know some adults with the name. Only had 2 children in my 10 years of teaching. Completely depends on where you live and who you know though.
