I am currently 10 weeks & my doctor is concerned I have “pregnancy diabetes “ & had me get tested today . My question is why would she test me again after the test results come back ? Because she has informed me I would have the same test in 3 months ?

It’s standard at a lot of offices to test twice. Mine tests at 16 and 28 weeks

I got tested at 16w and 28w as having high risk factors (PCOS). Both were negative. It's just to be on the safe side.

I’m not sure if it can progress into gestational diabetes as you get further along but I know that the typical time when they do the test is at 28 weeks so that’s why she said 3 months.
