Belly sleeping
Hello! I’m a FTM and my baby will be six months in two weeks. He was born about five weeks early. He was due on July 19 but ended up on June 13. Sometimes he seems like he is mor a July baby. He is formula fed and drinks about 30oz a day. He also has acid reflux. Even with his acid reflux he doesn’t spit up,it is more of a heartburn/gas issue. He has just started learning how to roll over onto his stomach. He has been rolling side to side for a while now and loves sleeping on his side. I always put his on his back and he rolls to his side.
Lately he has started rolling and push and squirming all over the place when he sleeps in his crib. He will totally flip ends he will go to different sides and now he he’s rolling on his stomach. He did it for the first time in his crib this morning. Once he ended up on his stomach he immediately started crying and I was awake so I knew when it happened right away. I picked him and we went on with a morning routine.
Well tonight he just rolled over again into his stomach. I wasn’t sure if we should leave him or not. Well we were decided we were closing watching him and then he started to cough and make choking sounds. I immediately rolled him over and he started crying. When I picked him up and vomited. It was very very chunky and smelt. He cried and seemed like he was in pain. I eventually got him to calm down and fall back asleep and now he’s sleeping on his back in his crib.
Is anyone else having their babies sleep on stomach? Did it cause any problems? I’m also worried because he has been trying to roll over and try’s to find something to comfort suck on but he hates pacifiers and I don’t trust him with any else I his crib he smushes his face into the mattress and try’s to suck on the sheets. I’m worried now that he’s going to get on his belly and do this and not move his face.
