First time poster on here but just need to vent. I'm due end of Feb and am really upset to find out I won't have access to a private bathroom when I go into labour due to hospital renovations and a temporary maternity ward being set up. Am I overeacting?

I can’t imagine not showering after birth.

At the hospital I am delivering in has two types of rooms: room with two beds and you have to share the bathroom with an adjoining room. Or a room with one bed and a convertible chair that has their own private bathroom.

Depends on your point of view... it could be seen as an adventure. Assuming you’re correct and that nothing changes, you can tell your baby one day about the showerless community bathroom situation at the hospital. Maybe you’ll also bond with other new moms and families. Try not to let the understandable panic feeling translate into a more stressful birth experience. Venting here is a good way to deal with it. We are all behind you. ❤️🍼
