Latch / tender nipple

I’ve been using a nipple shield since baby was born until 14weeks. Baby knocked it off and out my boob in, discovered the raw nipple 🤦🏻‍♀️ and now won’t take the boob without the shield. She isn’t very great at latching sometimes (tends to bob her head backwards while pulling on my nipple) causing engorgement and tender nipple (specifically on the left) it is slightly red and hurts every time I put her on that side to feed 😭 not sure on what to do
