When do I tell father about birth?

I posted about this before but the two responses I got seemed to misinterpret what I meant. 
I don’t plan on having the father at the hospital while I give birth we’re not currently on speaking terms or even in the same state.
I just want to know how long after I give birth do I have to tell him about baby being born ? Ex: when I go into labor, the next day, a week, when I’m ready for home visitors.

i would till him after you have the baby and are discharged from the hospital. give yourself some time to adjust and get settled, then talk to him. so in most cases that would be around 24-48 hours after the baby is born.

I would have the baby and then send a text saying it’s born with a few details like height and weight and then I would go file for custody and child support. Then once everything is set up he can start visiting based on the court order.

I believe, as long as you two are still legally married, living together or not, he has half of the rights to the baby regardless. Even if now he says he doesn’t want anything to do with the baby, later when the time comes he can change his mind and still just claim paternity since he is your husband. To really protect you and the baby you need to figure that out first. Other than that it’s really up to you when you want to tell him. :)
