How do I respond to this??? HELP

Okay so there is this guy I met only last weekend but we got really close and have been talking all week and we spent 24 straight hrs together because of a school event and anyways I cut and he knows and so does he and we talk about it and anyways he asked me to promise not to kill my self and i said I couldn’t make that promise so he said that if he still lived here when I wanted to we could do it together because he couldn’t handle me dying. I’m not sure if it’s super sweet or sad. I really like this guy and we are really good friends. I mean it’s almost weird that we haven’t known each other for so long and he’s saying this but that’s not what I’m worried about I just don’t even know how to respond. Please help I want to help him and make him happier he has depression and yet he is always focusing on making everyone else happy I just want to help him
