Birth mark or Mongolian spot

My baby has this dark spot on her left side of her forehead it wasn’t there when she was born the past month and half we noticed it and it seem to be getting darker and slightly bigger. Could it possibly be a birthmark or Mongolian spot? We went to her doctor and she couldn’t seem to know what it could be either
