Is 8 days before my due period too early?

I tested tonight. Couldn’t wait any longer 😭 I took a dollar store cheapie. Negative. Irregular cycles so who knows when I ovulated: but I did the deed so much this month. I was so hopeful. Cycle day 22. Is it too early maybe? I’ve had fuller breasts and some sensitivity in them as well: dull achy cramps on and off. And emotion as a mother. But those can all be my regular PMs as well so. Am I out this month? I’m so emotional
