When was the first time you got your period? how’d you react?

The first time I got my period, it was the day after my 11th birthday. I went to go take a nice shower and there she went falling onto the shower floor! In my mind I thought I cut myself! after the shower (thinking the blood had stopped!) I threw on my favorite white jumper and a few minutes later there it was a big red stain near my crotch!

I did know what a period was, I had learned from girls in my 4th grade class but i didn’t expect to get it at 11! afterwards my stepmom came home, laughed at how big I was becoming and handed me a pad, taught me how to use it and everything!
