How much are your LO eating?

Si I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding but a week ago had to add formula because i realized that i wasn’t producing enough and she would still be hungry after every feed. The problem is that since I don’t know how much she’s getting from me I don’t know how much formula to give her.. how much are your LO eating at around 6 weeks? She normally empties both my breast and takes 3 extra oz of formula. Isn’t this too much?

Mine eats about 4oz every feeding. She’s 6 weeks.

I had to do the exact same and am pumping when we are doing the supplement feeding. That said, she eats anywhere to 3.5 to 4 during the day, anywhere from 2 to 3 hour stretches and then on demand as well. We supplement her 9pm and 5am feed with 2 ounces of formula, 3 with breast milk for a total of 5 ounces. She typically finishes each bottle. I too thought she might be eating to much but she was a big baby to begin with (8 lbs 7 oz) and has always loved to eat lol.

My 8 weeker (born at 35w2d) is eating 3-3.5oz every 3hrs.

Mine eats anywhere between 3-5 ounces every 1.5-3 hours. My son will typically will spit out the nipple when he’s done eating.
