Been with my boyfriend 5 years... I met my guy bestfriend a year ago we are coworkers...
We’re getting matching tattoos which is his favorite number *13* 
My boyfriend is super pissed and said it’s disrespectful and that his favorite number has nothing to do with me..
He says he would be less upset if we got something matching like words or something but his favorite number is just rude and disrespectful to him..
Is it disrespectful?
Am I wrong?

Idk about disrespectful but the tattoo idea has nothing to do with best friends. Just seems like a half baked idea just to get a tattoo... like if y’all have a fall out or whatever u have a 13 on ya that will remind u of him & he just has his favorite number. So it seems like you just have a tattoo that’s one sided in sentimental value. 
Why not have something that actually symbolizes friendship or something y’all have in common? That makes way more sense to me.

Who are you getting the tattoo with? I’m contused. Either way, not a good idea to get a tattoo that will remind you of (1) a boyfriend or (2) someone you’ve only known for a year.

You’re allowed to do whatever you want, the thing is… His feelings are also valid. So if he feels disrespected by it, it’s up to you to choose to respect that or not. How important is this tattoo compared to how important it is to not cause resentment in your relationship? Is there anything that can be done to make it feel less disrespectful for him? ￼If changing the tattoo idea would make it feel less disrespectful for him, why not consider doing that?
