Contractions in back?
Sorry for the long story! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m just not sure what’s normal and what’s not? My first was a planned csection so I didn’t deal with contractions.
I’m 35 weeks, last night around midnight I started feeling period like cramps, that wrapped around to my back. The back pain got pretty intense very quickly, and was constant but would get worse in waves. I could feel my stomach was tightening up too but I was having a hard time timing anything because the back pain never fully let up and it was so intense I couldn’t really focus on what was going on with my stomach. I drank a ton of water and laid stayed laying down for a while, it wasn’t helping, so I got up and started moving around and it got worse, so I laid back down for a little while. After about an hour I took a hot bath and after about a half hour I couldn’t feel it anymore. But as soon as I got out of the bath I started feeling pain again, but it was mild. I fell asleep and my 2 year old woke me up an hour later, I was super sweaty when I woke up, I tucked her back in and felt fine then went pee and could feel tightening and pain coming on while I was peeing, got back in bed and it got really intense again. After about an hour I found a position sitting up perfectly straight that helped ease it and was able to fall asleep again. The whole time baby was moving like crazy in there.
So far today I feel fine, my next doctors appt is Wednesday morning. Do you think it’s okay to just see how today goes and wait until then to talk to my doctor as long as I’m not feeling pain anymore? Has anyone else had this? I’m just a bit shocked with how intense it got so quickly... and seemed too much to just be Braxton Hicks? 🤔
