Thrift store Christmas gifts
So this is a question based on how my grandma feels.
My grandparents are pretty well off.
(I know this for a fact as I do all of their finances, bill paying and everything for them due to health issues they have)
My grandma doesnt believe in spending money, which is fine. However, at the same time, she wants to buy gifts for the entire family. Theres probably 30 people altogether. Between her children, their spouses, grandchildren and now great grandkids. Her "limit" is around $3,700. That being said, she also wants to only thrift shop for their gifts. I personally don't mind, as I love thrift shopping. I just dont think its suitable for everyone's interest. My brother isnt ungrateful either as he is also well off but he doesn't like used things due to being paranoid about bugs and germs and such. So he said dont get him anything.. so now it's this absolute huge fight between my grandma and grandpa. My grandpa said he isnt comfortable with buying thrift items.
I'm just curious on others opinions on this. They arent exactly hurting to save the money - my grandma just doesn't like to pay full or retail price for anything.
