Would you be mad?

so my birthday was sunday

juice wrld has been one of my favorite artists for a year+, i was always posting his songs on my snapchat & he died on sunday

i got a text from a random number that said something like “happy birthday. hope you’re handling the juice wrld news ok. love you”

the love you part was really weird, especially cus i didn’t and still don’t know who it is. but my bf is mad at me because of it. he thinks that i know who it was. he was with me when i got the text & watched me block them. he knows who texts me so this number hasn’t shown up before. i told him that i don’t know who it was, i did a reverse # search & might know who it is & if it’s that guy - it’s some guy i was JUST FRIENDS with over summer who i haven’t talked to since before my bf & i became official. i told him he can call the number & ask the person himself.

would you be mad too or would you understand?

i can see why he’d be upset but it’s honestly not a repeat number or anything i personally would find suspicious 😔
