How to tell someone who had a miscarriage you’re pregnant

My husband has a friend he has been close to since middle school. He told my husband when his wife was 6 weeks she was pregnant. That was his first baby, and although i was 5 or 6 weeks then too, my husband didn’t want to take the light from them and say something about me then. A few weeks ago he found out they miscarried. The guy never told him, but my husband ran into the wife and she shared it. Now I’m 13 weeks and know the gender and he still doesn’t know. He has no idea how to share it.
