Ectopic pregnancy

So today they still weren’t able to find a gestational sac in my uterus at (5 weeks) 2000 hcg... the doctor told me I could be facing an ectopic pregnancy. He wasn’t able to rule out that I was still experiencing a normal pregnancy because he didn’t see any masses or anything on my tubes. Monday he’s doing one last ultrasound to see if he sees any pregnancy in the uterus if he doesn’t they are going to terminate my pregnancy... I’m trying to stay hopeful but ultimately discouraged. I have been experiencing a little bleeding but no severe pain. Has anyone experienced an ectopic pregnancy and can tell me about some of their symptoms?
