Trying to get pregnant after we found out husband has hep b
Okay so I need some help or advice. My husband and I have 3 boys and we’ve always said that we wanted 4 kids. Hoping for a baby girl this time. Fingers cross. 🤞🏻Anyways we found out last month that my husband has hep b and it turns out he’s probably had it since he was born cause his mother has it and he wasn’t born here in the US so he never was vaccinated. Right away I went and got labs done to see if I have Hep B and if I’m immune to it. Turns out I don’t have Hep B but my immunity is lower then the norm which also means I’m not as immune to it. I already got my first vaccine shot and still have to get two more series but it takes about another 5 months for the last shot. I’m ovulating this week and I just don’t want to wait another 5 months to try to get pregnant. My husband we’ve been trying for over a year and a half now before we found out about his situation so my question is do you guys think I’ll be okay trying to get pregnant? even though I’m not as immune and we have 3 kids and have been sexually active and I don’t have Hep B. It should be safe right? I’m 32 now and I really don’t want to have kids in my mid 30’s also my big thing here is I don’t want my kids to be far apart in age gaps. Our youngest is 3 now and so it will be a 4 years age gap if we do have another one. And I don’t want it to be anymore then that. (I am waiting to hear back from my doctor but I just need some input from this group to ease my mind)
