Why is he moving so fast?

I’m talking to a guy in the army and while I do like him A LOT why does it seem he’s moving super fast with feelings? It’s hard to tell whether or not it’s genuine.

It’s VERY common. Trust your instincts. If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. This is coming from experience. My husband was in the military when we met. I fell hard and fast. He did too... unfortunately our marriage ended in divorce after 3 years. There were many issues. Another 3 years passed before we had contact again and it was if nothing had changed feelings wise. We stayed in the military for 1 more year after we got married again and then got out. We will be celebrating 8 years this coming March.

A lot of the time it has to deal with possibly dying during deployment. They also need to know that there’s someone back home wanting to be with them. Kind of gives the hope.

It’s really REALLY common for people in the military to fall hard and fast. They’re lonely and trying to develop a connection. Trust me - I grew up a military kid and am now married to an Airman and I see it all the time. Just because he’s rushing it though doesn’t mean you have to at all - take your time!
