This man..

We have had our ups & lots of downs recently. It’s tough, raising 3 children that aren’t yours.

I met my DH the day he was born. I’ve known him my whole life. He chased me around when I was 6, living at his house when my mom left my dad. He called me his “Winnie cooper”. But I thought he was a stinky boy. I just wanted to play Barbie with his sister.

His older brother got killed when he was 13.. and after the funeral, we shared our FIRST ever first kiss. I thought he was sooo cute. And funny.

His family lived far away. I saw him every holiday after that. Then we both went into the military.

Fast forward 2 marriages & 3 kids. One just an infant, her dad left me when I got pregnant. He had gotten divorced & was hanging out at my moms. We had dinner together.

2 weeks later, he told me he loved me.

8 mo later, we got married.

He’s the BEST step dad to my girls. They love him so much. I wish we could have our own, but I will always be grateful for what I DO have. And he lets me stay at home with my toddler, & supports us all 💯.. So grateful for him.

Pray for my husband. Sometimes he has a hard time handling the stress of parenting. And their fathers are just awful to him.
