My boyfriend texted back to a girl he used to date. Should I be concerned?

My boyfriend always seems to find a way to bring this girl up. And says he hates her and never wants to see her again because she didn’t treat him well...she asked him to meet up over Christmas and he responded with “I don’t know”. Should I be concerned? It sounds like he is not sure if he wants to or not. It wasn’t a firm no. And I asked him why did even bother to reply and he said, “it looks rude if I didn’t reply”. Who cares if she got a response or not...and that probably wasn’t the end of the conversation either!
They only went out 3 times and she lives in a different country. He says I have trust issues. But honestly, shouldn’t I have trust issues when I know she knows nothing about me being his girlfriend?

It’s suspicious. He shouldn’t be hanging out with his ex. It’s disrespectful and the fact that she knows nothing about you means he’s hiding you. If he hated her that much he wouldn’t even answer her

I reconnected with an ex and he asked me to hang out. I went over to his place to grab lunch and catch up. I saw pics of a girl on his fridge. Okay, he has a girlfriend. After lunch he tried to solicit me for sex ... I brought up the girl he was seeing. He said it wasn’t serious but I know him, and I bet it is. 
Guys are capable of anything. If he really hated her he wouldn’t care about being nice to her. He would block her and focus on you instead of telling you you have trust issues.

As long as he doesn’t see her or talk any more in depth than a “hey” “let’s catch up sometime” “wish you well” then it’s fine. She’s in a different country after all. I mean it is super weird that he is leaving a meet up open, and it sounds like he’s not over her, but if he doesn’t see her then it would be fine with me.
