How in the hell do I not have the flu

If I’ve been kissing, sleeping next to, and cuddling someone who’s had the flu for a week (we didn’t know until today) and ontop of that I have a compromised immune system so when someone around me catches the flu my body welcomes it with open freaking arms.

I am fine. There is nothing wrong with me. I even shared a drink with him and there’s probably countless other ways we’ve been in contact besides sex because he’s been sick. I looked it up and it can take 4 days for symptoms to kick in and he first got sick 7 days ago.

I’m not mad I’m happy but I’m kinda in shock. Also he did not seem like he had the flu. This is the first time in our 5 year relationship that he’s ever really been sick. It’s just know starting to kick his ass.

Maybe I caught from him a couple days in and it hasn’t kicked in yet but I don’t know how because again my immune system is crap.

Let’s hope I don’t catch it. Someone else said it in the comments but yes when I catch something like the flu i run a good chance of ending up in the hospital because my body has a harder time fighting it off.
