Hypotonia. Anyone else?
Looking for moms of kiddos with hypotonia and/or loose/hyper extended joints.
My son is 17 months old and was finally diagnosed with hypotonia at around 13 months of age. It was a long battle with doctors to find any sort of diagnosis. His hypotonia is causes by unknown reasons, they say it may just be genetic. He sees a physical therapist weekly and gets early intervention. Other than his gross motor delays he is perfectly normal and from what I've been told by his pediatrician and early intervention he is actually advanced for his age otherwise.
He will be 18 months old this month and still isn't walking. He just started crawling this month and didn't scoot on his butt at all until he was a year old. He was on the later side of normal for sitting up and rolling as well.
I'm just looking for other moms in a similar situation to share milestones and stories.
