He climbed out of his crib, time to go to the big boy bed 😳

My son is 2 + a couple of months. Tbh I’m surprised we have made it this far without this happening since he’s been more than capable for a long time. He climbed out of his crib, & now we can’t get him to stay in it. I’m afraid he will hurt himself. So my next thought is to turn it into the toddler bed with a railing so he doesn’t fall out. But at least he can safely get in & out.

Now, I have no idea how to make the transition. Obviously consistency is the best way, but how am I going to get him to stay in bed without literally holding him in there? We were planning on transitioning before #2 gets here in July but looks like we have to start sooner than we though. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Edit: thanks for your tips! We have a really good bed time routine & once he is asleep he is such a good sleeper, has been since the beginning. I guess it will just take persistence, but I can out stubborn him lol & I’m sure he’ll be excited about the new step 😄
