How can I travel with a slow cooker full of liquid?

Every year on Christmas morning, my husband and I go to my mom's. Last year I brought slow cooker hot chocolate and everyone loved it. I plan on bringing it this year as well, but it was such a mess to transport last year. 
It's only about a 10 minute drive, but we tend to hit a few bumps. I can't just make it when I get there because it takes a couple hours and everyone would be drinking it while opening gifts.

I'd try something like glad press and seal wrap on the inner lip where the lid sits and the put the lid on top for extra measure.

i would try to put it in a sealed dish and reheat as necessary instead. if you insist in bringing the slow cooker, use a box and fill it with dark and/or old towels (so if it spills a bit it's not a big deal) on the bottom, sides, and too so the slow cooker is snug and secure. also try to drive as slow as possible around the bumps.

Do you a crockpot with the lock lids? That is what I use when making soup and having to take it some place.  It helps keep the lid tight and prevents spilling.

Can you make it, then transfer it to a few smaller pitchers until you get there, then put it back in the crock pot to reheat once there? Itll be more dirty dishes and a bit more work.

Use a slow cooker bag and tie the back at the top and cut it open when you get there.

Maybe once you’ve made it, you could put it in a big thermos flask? Or wrap the top of your slow cooker in cling film or foil?

Place it inside a box. The liquor store might have one that fits a little lighter than the grocery store ones
