Feeding , milk?

Hello! My son is 5 weeks and 1 day... I’m not really producing quite enough breast mills for his needs... I’ve tried multiple different formulas and mixed them with my breast milk and he gets quite upset with them. Gassy, constipated, etc..... would I be able to mix my breast milk with soy milk just to meet his needs a bit more or is there any other suggestions???

No no... Ask dr about what other formulas can be used.. For milk production just try having oatmeal, lots of water, Gatorades can help. Be sure you’re eating enough calories too..

Talk to your pediatrician but definitely do not give anything but breastmilk or formula to your baby.

No-it has to be formula or breastMilk. E could get sick if you did that. Talk to your doctor-sometimes it takes some trial and error to find the right formula. You could also purchase breast milk from the hospital milk bank. I did this until mine came in.

Why do u think u aren’t producing enough for him? Are u nursing on demand? If ur basing it off the amount u pump, well baby is way more efficient than a pump so he could be perfectly content if he’s nursing. Don’t assume what u get when u pump is what he gets when he nurses is what I mean. Supplementing with formula is only going to make ur supply drop even more. I’d let him nurse very frequently, he will signal ur body to produce more milk. It may be very constant for a bit but it’s the best way to get a good supply.
