Red dot on head?

Sorry for the messy picture but my baby girl has had this red dot and it was slightly small when I first noticed it and thought it was maybe just a scratch (she did have to be vacuumed out) and just kinda kept an eye on it and we’ll today I noticed it’s kinda bigger? She don’t go back till the 27th for her 1 month check up but I’m wondering if anyone else’s baby has had this or any concerns for me? Or if I should take her to doctor sooner?

I’m and L&as nurse and that’s a strawberry hemangioma. It’s a red birthmark. It might get bigger as he ages and sometimes they go away in their own.

Looks like a hemangioma to me. They’re not a cause for concern but can grow and get quite large during the first year of baby’s life then tend to shrink back down. Your pediatrician will probably monitor it. My daughter has a teeny tiny one on her back and it’s already grown a bit.

Hi, this looks like a strawberry hemangiomas. My daughter has two of them. One on her back and one on her chin. The one on her back is larger since it's been there since birth and the one on her chin popped up at two weeks old.

They are not permanent but they do grow larger and become raised before fading away by school age. My daughter has a appointment with a pediatric dermatologist in March (Phoenix children's hospital has a long waiting list) they are sometimes treated with a topical but depends on the location.

Keep an eye on it. If you notice it continuing to get larger I’d call the doctor. My son had one on his back. It grew a bit when he was a baby but quit growing. He’s now 8 and it’s barely a dot.

That doesn’t look concerning to me. My son who was vacuumed had a vacuum size bruise on his head that started to heal around 2wo... I wouldn’t think this is related.
