No heartbeat

Went in for our first ultrasound. Supposed to be 9 weeks today. Fetal pole was measuring at 6 weeks 1 day. They couldn’t find a heartbeat. We have another ultrasound scheduled for next week. I’m devastated and I don’t know how to get through Christmas like this. We have a 4 year old who doesn’t know yet. We were going to announce it to him and our family on Christmas Day. Has anyone had this happen and it turn out the drs were wrong? I can’t stop crying.
