I am really stressed because on september me and my best friend decided to have our first tattoo together (i turned 18 on may) it was really impulsive and we didnt thought about it twice so we did it

But for new year i am going to the beach and my mom of course is going to see my tattoo and i want to tell her before we go to the beach but how??

I am scared i dont want to diasapoint her and i like my tattoo (is in the ribs) but what if is too big and she is going to hate it?

I am not as close as i would like with my mom but i really dont want to make her feel as if she is a bad mom so i need advice
