How do I explain to my son why his father isn't around ? His dad is very abusive and threatened to kill my son out of anger towards me so I do not trust him to be around him at all. My son is still young he doesn't really realize yet I just feel horrible that he won't have a father in his life for all the special "dad moments" if that makes any sense.
