Would you fight for the love of your life?

He broke up with me. The last words his said to me were "I love you but it's impossible" impossible because we are in a long distance relationship and we have been havenig endless problems, each in our country that affected our relationship drastically. Should I fight for it? Or just accept it. I wanna fight badly but I don't have the means. I don't know what to do.

For me personally, I don't think I could give my all and fight for a long distance relationship. Sometimes letting go is the best option. but that doesn't mean you shouldn't fight if you truly want to continue with the relationship.

Don’t shoot me here but I don’t really think that a love that you have to fight for is real love. If things aren’t working and you’re constantly arguing and fighting to make it work, then maybe that’s because you guys just aren’t that compatible. 
My first serious boyfriend and I were constantly fighting to “make it work” and god I thought I loved him so much. But now I’ve been with my current boyfriend for a few years and there’s no “fighting” involved, and we were doing long distance for 8 months. 
I just don’t think that love is something that could ever cause pain, and fighting is pain.

I went through the exact same situation, I imagine many people will tell you if he wanted you he’d fight for you, but long distance can mess with people’s heads
At the time his mum had just been diagnosed with cancer we didn’t see each other often and I think it was too overwhelming. 
I did fight for him, I couldn’t risk losing what we had, and my heart was breaking not being with him. It was so hard on me emotionally but I just knew I needed to try. 
We did get back together and now have had another 6 happy years since then. We now live together in our own home, are married and have a baby on the way and I know he truly is my soul mate. If I ever reference that time he gets really upset knowing what he put me through, but I know he was in a dark place and needed me to be the strong one and I personally think I did the right thing

Omgosh this is absolutely insane how similar these stories are to mine. I recently had just fought for my relationship, with my boyfriend of 5 going on 6 years. He wanted to break up with me as a result of us arguing to much and he didn’t think that we were going to work out. In addition to we are also doing long distance which put a huge strain on our relationship. 
I cried and I was upset but I knew I wanted to be with him in the long run, and I believe if you truly care for someone you would try to work it out.
Nothing beats a failure but a try. I explained to him how I felt vice versa. We ended up talking it out and decided to give it another try. We’re both working progresses and nobody is perfect. But also don’t lose sight of yourself and know your worth next time.
