Combo feeding anyone?

Question

Is anyone nursing but also doing formula, for example during the hours they work? I'm interested in doing this since I don't respond to a pump well and I'm going back to work soon. How did you do it and how many ounces of formula do you offer during the feeds you are away? TIA!

When I stopped pumping I just nursed when I was with him and they gave him formula at daycare. My body regulated to it pretty quick. That was the life! No bottles or pump parts to wash .

I did combo feed for ages before switching to formula only about ten days ago.
I would pick which times in the day I wanted to give a bottle, and nursed on demand in between those.
The two bottles I did regularly was bedtime (to first remove association with nursing to sleep, and later so my husband could put baby to bed). The other bottle was after first nap, late morning.
My body adjusted well to it. From around 7 months I added a third bottle, first thing in the morning. At 8 months it was a fourth bottle after 2nd nap. Now that's all he has, so I was done nursing.
Many babies have formula during the day and are only nursed morning and night x

I introduced formula at six weeks.  He’s been having both in combination ever since.  Typically when he wakes up whether in the morning or from nap, I give him a 2 oz bottle of formula because I figure he’s thirsty from sleep.  Only recently I bumped it to 4 oz, he’ll drink maybe 3 1/2.  He still nurses regularly and nurses to sleep.  But I’ve never had any issues leaving him to go to work or out for a few hours because I know he’ll drink formula bottles when I’m not around.

We have since day 1. We swapped between breast and bottle/formula, And mixed pumped milk with formula as well. I never responded to an electric pump, but had amazing luck with a haakaa. As of now we put at least 1oz of frozen milk mixed in with each bottle still. It’s worked really well for us.
