Everyone, do you like where you live?

Question

First off Merry Christmas!
Why am I on a blog at 4:30am? Well it’s because I sold my small suburban home to move my family and two dogs into my FILs this summer to save money for a bigger home. 
HOWEVER, I’m  going to lose MY MIND. I need our own pronto but anything in a decent town, with enough room for what we need is 330-350k in CT (we need an acre.) for so many reasons I’ve considered trying out another state.
DOES ANYONE LIVE ANYWHERE WHERE IT SEEMS EASIER OR AT LEAST MORE AFFORDABLE?
here’s the current status for comparison.
Housing 300-350k for a Suburban and 3 bedroom house on an acre
Property taxes 7-8k
Daycare 1350 month
Health insurance 700/mo
My husband and I make 108k a year together.
I want to be a stay at home mom and not be so stressed anymore. I know everyone out here is from all over so please post below and let me know if there’s better out there. Traveling and looking ourselves at this point is a lot harder with a baby.

Move to Texas. We’ve lived in Illinois, Alaska, Texas, Missouri, and now Virginia and the most affordable with plus some would 100% be Texas

I live in Birmingham, Alabama. It is super cheap living. Lots of education and medical jobs. We bought for 235 and have .5 acre 3/2/2 in the city about 10-12 min from downtown. We are 4 hrs from the beach, 2 hrs from Atlanta, 2 hrs 45 from Nashville, and only 90 min from rural cabin in the mountains.  Woman wear too much make up and bless each other's heart too often. Football matters too much. And you WILL be asked where you attend church but outside of that it isn't so bad.

Midwest. I’m in the Cleveland area and live in one of the nicer suburbs. We live in a 4 BR that’s probably around $230K now (our particular suburb has very high property taxes, the other cities aren’t like that). The very good daycare we’ll probably end up with will be $1200 a month. 
If you go to one of the other suburbs, you can definitely find cheaper COL. 
I’m from the East coast and I like the lifestyle but it’s obnoxiously expensive.

I live in Central Florida. Very cheap, very hot, lots of crazies, keeps it interesting. I could buy any house I want just short of a mansion with 300k. Daycare is $480 a month.

I'm in NY don't come here lol.  I have 6 acres cause I hate neighbors and people.  Pay 15k in property taxes which is rediculus.  Home was 330 but we moved to this town for my husbands job. 
I will say also the more land you have the more problems with animal pests.  I have rats in my chicken coop, bat's were in my damn house,  2 mice last week, bees nests etc.   Lots of bugs but I can handle those lol.  If you do find a place do a pest inspection.  Don't be like me and have 15 bat's in your house when you move in because the people who owed it were idiots.

Move South if you want to save money but make sure it's somewhere you want to be because once you move somewhere cheaper it's 100x harder to move somewhere more expensive. 
I live in Georgia. 2bdrm apt $375 a month. 
We're trying to get a house 2bdrm for $65,000. Which will be around the same of $300-$500 a month

Live in Illinois. 2/10, would not recommend.

I live in northern New York. Housing prices are expensive for not a lot, depending on county taxes can be insane 8k for a 150,000 home or good 3,500 for 150,000. (School and county tax). Also house might be nice and on .5 acre or crap on 40 acre. Daycare is closer to $800-1,000 for in home. The price And size of the house you’re looking for you’d pay a shit ton of taxes on a year here is my guess.

Live in Ca and together we make 130k a year. Of course he hasnt made his full salary yet because he is still shy of being at that for a year and then i was out on disability before baby and then had maternity leave so this year we'll make the same in years past. 
With that said we are still trying figure put where all our money goes. Our was 375k, had to do fha just get a down payment we can afford, and its only 1200 sq. But we are lucky since most people we know cant afford anything. The houses I would live to move to one in a nicer area are 600k and that's just going to get higher.
