MIL is so insensitive 🙄

My fiancé and I have been trying since August of this year to conceive. We went through an early loss (all things she knows). And today for Christmas as she’s unwrapping her presents, after each one she said “no sonogram?!” So finally I said, “no - and it’s not from lack of trying and you’re being really insensitive.” I don’t understand how someone can be so clueless. She didn’t even apologize or seek the least bit concerned with why I would be upset about it. I’m so upset and as soon as we left, I cried the entire way home.

I wish we didn’t have to still tell people to be thoughtful before they speak. Not everyone has an easy journey trying to conceive. 🤦🏻‍♀️
